Ashlyn McIver, Speech Language Pathologist-Assistant

Ashlyn is a Speech Language Pathologist-Assistant from Durham, North Carolina. She attended North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University where she received a B.S in Speech Pathology and Audiology. She continued her studies at Caldwell Technical community college where she received her associates degree in Speech Language Pathology Assistant. During Ashlyns senior year of highschool, she found that speech-language pathology aligned well with her interests in health care and language and she really wanted her future career to be involved with working with children. Ashlyns clinical experiences, completion of continuing education courses, and experiences shadowing in a variety of acute pediatric settings and early childhood settings inspired her passion for working with children. Ashlyn completed her clinical rotations in school settings and in a private practice setting before she graduated. Ashlyn has experience working with a variety of speech, language disorders including receptive and expressive language disorder/delay, fluency disorders, social/pragmatic disorders, and phonological processing disorders. She has experience with treatment therapy, therapy screenings working with pediatrics, school aged kids, and adults. Ashlyn loves spending time with her family and friends, and her dog, Kobe. She also enjoys traveling out of the country and all around the United states. She loves working out, trying new restaurants, exploring nature, reading, and painting.
